Play roulette online? Discover the main rules
The principle of online roulette is simple. You bet on one or more numbers, before spinning the wheel. If the ball lands on one of the chosen numbers, you win. Are the roulette game rules really that easy? Yes, but beware: the different stakes will force you to think carefully about your game strategy.
Place your token
When you start a game of online roulette, you see a playmat with a series of numbers. To play, you must place your token on the numbered space of your choice. By doing so, you set your stake: from 10 euro cents to 10 euros per token. A higher bet will bring you a bigger win.
Inside bets: great winnings at your fingertips
In the case of an internal bet or inside bet, you choose one or more simple squares. The success rate is lower, but the gains greater.
- The riskiest bet is straight up, which consists of betting on a single number.
- In a split bet, you place two chips on two different numbers.
- Betting on a corner (square) is betting on four adjacent numbers to form a square on the playing mat – for example 14, 17, 13 and 16.
- Vertical roulette allows you to bet on six numbers at a time by placing your chips at the end of two rows.
- If you play American roulette, you play with a single chip, which you place on the 0, 00 and the numbers 1, 2 and 3.
Outside bets: bet on a series
Do you prefer to limit the risks in order to play longer? In this case, opt for series and place your chip outside the playing mat. Here are the game rules for external bets or outside bets in roulette.
- Even sum betting: you bet on red or black, the first half of the numbers, the last half, or all the (odd)even numbers.
- Bet on the dozen: you bet at once on a third of the numbers (1-12, 13-24 or 25-36).
- Column Bet: You bet on a vertical row of your choice.
